In addition to her regular MSNBC show, Reid was filling in for Chris Hayes (who was taking leave time to attend the birth of his first child; some testosterone-adled sports jock wannabes were flogging a Mets player for missing a couple of games for the same reason), and she echoed some of the identical ideas I put forth on a couple of other seeds on Koch's opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal.
Reid noted it was significant that Koch had put his ideas out there (over 50% of the American public don't even know who the Koch brothers are and the hidden role of Americans for Prosperity in the behind-the-scenes right wing machinations that ALEC and others are using to effect their agendas). I agree, and he certainly served up some big fat slow ones that are easily knocked over the fence.
"Charles Koch is against character assassination but comparing people who disagree [with him]... with despots is apparently alright."
(Please, no laughing at Senator Jerry Moran for his reference to "Paul Alinsky")
The term "collectivists" is used four times, and anyone can see it amounts to a "dirty word" in Koch land and a smear of those who would hold the Kochs accountable for their dishonesty and excesses.
Narcissism in a nutshell folks; the privileged have their privileges.
